Meet Brian's New Baby!

Brian got his Christmas present early this year! This is Koley - she's a 6 week old miniature schnauzer. He sure likes her! So do the kids - they can't get enough of her. We hope that she'll potty train quickly, and get the hang of it. Brian wants her to be an inside dog. Isn't she so cute!!

Jordan and Tawnee love to pose with her!

Our Thanksgiving Luau

For Thanksgiving this year, my mom decided that we were having a luau! She made all 29 of us Hawaiian shirts - wow she is incredible! She was so excited to do this for her family. Each family had their own color of shirts. We went to the church on Thanksgiving morning to take pictures, since it was raining outside. Then we went back to my parents house to have our "feast". We had buried pork, and of course turkey, with all the fixins. Brian made sapa sui, and poli popo, just to add to the authenticity! We all had a fun weekend of food, crafts, visiting, kick ball, Wii games, and more food! Thanks for a super fun weekend, and the memories and shirts Mom!!

I've got my first tag!

I was blog surfing tonight and saw that Mrs. Celeste Johnson tagged me! Thanks!! I've never been tagged before - she says that you go to your 4th file, and 4th picture in that file. Well here you go - Jordan was lining up his pinewood derby car! Mr. Competative himself!! I tag Kaycee & Jenny!

Jordan & Jarret's First Piano Recital!

Jordan and Jarret take piano from Wanda Sanderson! She is the best! We waited so long to get in line for the boys to take lessons. They had their first recital tonight - November 20, 2008. Jordan played Rockin' on 6, and We're gonna rock around the clock. Jarret played Quiet River, and the Ballad of Davy Crockett. They did so good! Jarret didn't even look at his music on Quiet River. He's had it memorized for such a long time. Way to go boys! We're so proud of you!

Lazy Sunday Afternoons!

This is the reason for the following blog post! After church we have lunch and then it's "quiet time" Well, ok, quiet time for Brian and I! When I went to check on the noise, this is what I found. The kids dump their sunday clothes, change, and put everything on the floor, pull mattress off beds, and mattress surf! At least they had a great time, and didn't break any bones! I guess these are great memories of Sunday's. We had them put all the mattresses back, put the laundry away, and then we headed to the Temple!!

Our Sunday Afternoon Walk!

Last Sunday
November 2nd, we decided to take a walk up to the Temple! Notice the clouds in the sky, and our, well my funky hair, and our attire! Yeah, it was cold! Big goofs, what were we thinking?! I was able to talk my family is to taking some fun pictures. It didn't last long though! Everytime they hear my camera turn on, wow, immediate complaints!! Someday they will treasure these pictures! I hope! I treasure them now! I only wish I had a bazillion dollars to print out every picture I take!

Jarret - Trever - Caleb's Baptism Day!

Jarret, his cousin Trever, and his friend (from our Ward) Caleb Uchytil were all baptized on November 8, 2008! What a special day for these boys. We split up the program in the confirmation portion. Caleb's Uncle Jared Holland gave the confirmation talk, all of the boys chose their favorite Primary songs, and they all stood up to the podium and sang. Jarret's was: I love to see the Temple. Trever's was : I am a child of God. and Caleb's was the Abinadi verse of Book of Mormon Stories! Grama Brimhall played the piano for them. They all did so good. Then they were confirmed, and Brother Kelley welcomed as the newest baptized members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Then Tanner (Trever's brother) gave the closing prayer! Afterwards, we all went to Aunt Kimberly's to eat dinner - Taco Salad, with shells from Taco Bell, and Kimberly made the yummiest fried ice cream balls, with chocolate sauce on top! What a great end to a busy day!
The pillows are from Sister L'Erin Heap - the boys' Primary Teacher! They were so excited, and Jarret says he's going to sleep on it every night, so he can remember to Choose The Right!

Jarret's Baptism Day!

Jarret was trying on baptism clothes
and his first one was really small and it
rode up his rear end and crotch, so we
asked for another pair. Brother Delap
brought by this suit (it's from the 80's
I think) It has a huge pointed collar
and a big thick belt, and bell bottoms.

Jarret comes running
into the kitchen with it on - and
points and poses and says "Thank ya,
Thank ya very much!"
We all busted up laughin'. We didn't
even know he knew
who Elvis was! That kid is a crack up!

The Stake has made the decision to do Stake Baptisms. We were all a little hesitant at first. But President Smith asked us to support him on this decision. Well, the baptism went off without a hitch! I really liked it that way. We stay all together for the baptismal talk, and then each ward is called out to do their baptisms, then we separate for the confirmations, by ward, and it's a much smaller group! As I watched Jarret be confirmed, a sweet feeling came over me that this was right! What a blessing these young kids have to be able to be baptized, if only they could realize the importance of it all, as we do as adults. I don't remember my baptism day, sure wish I do, but hopefully through writing Jarret's feelings, and through the pictures that we take he will have some memory of it. What a lucky kid Jarret is, to have a Dad that is worthy to hold the Priesthood - to Baptize and Confirm him. Yep- Brian you are the best!!

Jarret was so proud that he was Baptized and received the Holy Ghost! Afterwards I asked him how he felt, and he said Mom, I have had the most tingly feeling all day, and it feels even better now. I'm so proud of him and his choice. He is a good boy, and we love him tons!! He is such a poser!!
