3 cute Nephews and 1 cute Niece

So- since May 30th - our family has added 3 nephews and 1 niece. Our family is lovin' these babies. My mom's sure been busy runnin to be with them all. First was Collin (Chase and Jenny's) then Colter (Kimberly and Scotts) then Greysen (Kristen and Drew) and last is Aadyn (Brindee and Dustins) We can't wait to get them all together at Thanksgiving and take lots of fun pictures with them! Congrats to you all - and Happy Tax Deduction next year!!!!

Miss Aadyn is here!

Aadyn finally arrived last night at 8:10 p.m. She weights 7 lbs 10oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long. My mom saw her last night and says she has the cutest little pout, and a wide open mouth cry! Happy Birthday Aadyn Michelle Rogers! and Congrats Brindee and Dustin!!

Flag Raising Ceremony

It was sure neat to hear 200 kids say the pledge of allegiance all in unison! WOW, what a sight to behold. I couldn't help but get a little choked up!

The Highland Primary had their first flag raising ceremony for the year, and Mrs. Binnie's class and Mrs. Baldwin's class were invited to give a special program. The whole school lines up around the flag pole and they all watch the flag being raised, say the pledge of allegiance, and have a little patriotic program. Then the 2 classes sang "My Country Tis of Thee" and each child had a part to say. They were so cute, and so proud. More excited to talk into the microphone I think. My nephew Cameron got to give the opening announcement, and did great! Way to go kiddo's! I was one proud momma!

Cub Day Camp - 2008

Jordan is a Webelo and went to Cub Day Camp out at Camp Silver Creek on Saturday the 16th of August. I was able to go with him, and of course take pictures. We went out with Sister Papa, and Brother Brimhall. These boys had such a great time, and couldn't wait to get in the water., but they had to wait until station 5 & 6. Each group got to go to 10 stations, I got to stay for these stations - getting fingerprinted by Officer Shumway, shooting bows, taking a hike, making a neckerchief and slide, swimming, and canoeing. Jordan loved canoeing the best. He was partners with Steven Brimhall and Mason Willis, and they worked pretty good together. They made the most turns and were all over the stream. They all caught frogs, lizards, loved discovering, and exploring. A big thank you to the Stake for putting on such a great day for the boys!

Jeremy's Accident - WARNING Not for the FAINT!

Jeremy was playing night games with some friends on Saturday the 9th - the weekend before school. Of course it was dark, and he and Tyler crashed into each other. Jeremy hit Tyler's shoulder and it knocked his front four teeth out, knocked the brackets off his bottom four teeth, broke his nose, and chewed up his lips! We called Dr. West at 10:30 p.m. and he came right down and shoved 3 of the front teeth back up into his gums, they were hanging by his braces, and wired them together. He lost his front right tooth, we think he might have swallowed it!!! I wasn't gonna check if it came out the other end. The WORST part for Jeremy was - Dr. West told him not to play Football, boy did that devastate him. The WORST part for Mom was having to watch him hurt. He was sure tough, he never even shed a tear. Dad assisted Dr. West in the dental chair, and thought it was pretty cool. A HUGE THANKS to Dr. West for being willing to get out of bed, and stop preparing his lesson for Sunday, to come and rescue a few MAJOR Important teeth that Jeremy kinda needs for the REST of his life!! He'll eventually have to get a bridge to fill the gap in his mouth, but for now, he sure enjoys the questions and sympathy he gets, especially when his sister tells EVERYONE about it! The Johnsons, and Claires worked like mad to find the extra tooth in the neighbors yard, a HUGE THANKS to them too!

Tawnee's Playin' Ball!

Tawnee made the Jr. High Softball team, and plays catcher. She loves every minute of it, because she's quite the social butterfly. She has enjoyed practices, of course because she gets to spend more time with her friends. Their first game was at RV - scrimmage game- and they beat them by 12. The next game was in Snowflake against Jo City and they beat them 18-1. Way to go girls. Of course they have the greatest coach - Traci Butler - what a sacrifice she's made for them, and the girls all love her!
