Merry Christmas!!! We hope you got everything you wanted, and remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas!!

Getting to know Us - Christmas style!

 

1.WRAPPING PAPER or GIFT BAGS? Wrapping paper - it's way more fun!!

2.REAL or ARTIFICIAL TREE? We have artificial - Love the real trees cause they SMELL so GOOD - but they dry up so fast! Plus I like to put my tree up so early - it probably wouldn't even make it to Christmas!

3.WHEN DO YOU PUT UP THE TREE? This year we put it up Thanksgiving night!!! We usually don't until the next day - but we went to go see the Temple Lights and wanted to get it up!

4.DO YOU LIKE EGGNOG? EWWW GROSS - but my family LOVES it! So of course we buy it!! Jeremy even made some - it sure smelled good!!

5.FAVORITE GIFT AS A CHILD? I remember a little wind up clock - just like the picture!! I loved the song it played so I would wind it over and over!!

6.DO YOU HAVE A NATIVITY SCENE? Of Course I do - I have 12!!! I love them all, that's my favorite part of decorating!! I love putting up my nativities!! Some day I would love The Willow Tree Nativity set!!

7.HARDEST PERSON TO BUY FOR? That would be Brian - LOVE HIM, but he is so hard!

8.EASIEST PERSON TO BUY FOR? TAWNEE!! She's my only girl, and she loves everything - although I do have to get her Aunties approval on clothes or shoes before I buy so she won't be disappointed with MY purchase!!

9.EMAIL OR CARDS? CARDS- I love giving and getting Christmas cards - we put every one of our Christmas cards up to see how everyone has changed over the year!

10.FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE? I love, love, love, the cartoon "Twas the Night Before Christmas - I love the story of the little mouse that is too good for Christmas and messes it up for all the townspeople. So he repents and fixes the clock so it will sing for Santa to come!! And my next one is WHITE CHRISTMAS!!! Oops-it only asked for 1!! Sorry!

11.WHEN DO YOU START SHOPPING FOR CHRISTMAS? All year long - just looking for good deals, but really the excitement for me starts when I see the green and red M&M packages!!!

12.FAVORITE THINGS TO EAT DURING CHRISTMAS? I LOVE English Toffee - with Chocolate on top!! But I never can make it right!!

13.WHITE LIGHTS OR COLORED LIGHTS? White Lights - but I love to mix in red with it!!

14.FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONG? I love Chestnuts roasting on an Open fire - but especially when Celine Dion sings it!!

15.TRAVEL FOR CHRISTMAS OR STAY HOME? Stay Home - enough said!!!

16.CAN YOU NAME ALL OF SANTA'S REINDEER? Of course - thanks to the movie Jingle all the Way!! DASHER,DANCER,PRANCER,VIXEN,COMET,CUPID(aka STUPID - as my nephew Tristan would say!)DONNER,BLITZEN and don't forget RUDOLPH!

17.ANGEL OR STAR ON TOP OF THE TREE? I love STARS!

18.DO YOU OPEN PRESENTS CHRISTMAS EVE OR CHRISTMAS MORNING? We go to Gardner's Christmas Eve and open presents there, but our family opens Christmas Day! Well, we do get our jammies Christmas Eve - so I say BOTH!

19.MOST ANNOYING THING ABOUT THIS TIME OF YEAR? RUDE SHOPPERS!

20.UP EARLY OR SLEEP IN? Usually our kids come and get us up! Which means early! One year my Dad woke us all up at 4 a.m. cause he was so excited!!! Love it Dad!!

21.ARE YOUR GIFTS FROM SANTA OR MRS.CLAUS? Santa - but Mrs. Claus does all the work to get them there!!! HeHe!

22.DO YOU TELL THE CHRISTMAS STORY? EVERY YEAR - that's why we celebrate Christmas!!!

23.DO YOU LEAVE COOKIES OUT FOR SANTA? We prefer Brownies - So does SANTA!!

24.FAVORITE CHRISTMAS TRADITION? Making gingerbread (graham cracker) houses. We meet at my Mom's and we all bring different candies and we go hog wild on those things! It's so fun!

Temple Lights

 

We made a fast trip to see the Temple Lights in Mesa this year - our kids have never been! Every time we think about it, the weather has been bad, or such a crazy time - so we went early!! We LOVED it - I am so amazed at how much work goes into putting those lights up. We got there early, and were able to see the nativities inside the visitors center, and the displays outside too! It was such a wonderful way to start the Christmas season! Merry Christmas!

We went to see THIS movie..........

Can I say WOW - the graphics were incredible!!! It was amazing what Disney can do! It is a little scary - wouldn't recommend it for little kids - but my big kids LOVED it!! What a great start to a Merry Christmas - let the festivities begin!!

Brian's Tri in Coolidge

I was so proud of Brian - He and Lynn Johnson have been training, but not as hard as they have before! Plus the pool has been closed, so that was a little hard for them, cause they couldn't train for the swim. They finished together in 1 hr 16 min. He was happy with his time and glad he did it!! Way to go babe!

Brian's Tri in the Pines!

This past Saturday Brian and a bunch of friends did the Tri in the Pines - they all did awesome! Brian has been training for so long and really loves it! He was in the 4th heat - they start off in the pool and swim 625 meters then head to the bike ride 12 miles and end with 3 miles running - he did this all in 1 hr 30 minutes and 04 seconds! He got 3rd place in the Clydesdale division - Great job honey!

Jeremy is the right guard for offense! He's a great shover! It was fun to see him play again! Last year he couldn't play because of his mouth accident - so we're back into SNOWFLAKE FOOTBALL!! Go LOBOS!
